How Do You Remove Refrigerator Doors
Now remove the cover.
How do you remove refrigerator doors. Open end wrench screwdriver nutdriver. 6 remove the screw and two bolts from the middle hinge and then detach it from the refrigerator. Lift the cover and remove it. After unplugging your refrigerator and moving it away from the wall disconnect the water supply line by pressing the fitting release ring and pulling the water tube out of the connector fitting.
7 lift the freezer door upward to remove it from the unit. To do this you unscrew and remove the hinge bracket on the top of the door. The water line hose as shown here is now ready to be removed. Removing the left refrigerator door.
There are usually three screws. Open the left door and remove the top hinge cover screw. Place the screws in the hinge. Remove the single small phillips screw using a small phillips head screwdriver.
Once you ve disconnected the water line and electrical cable and emptied the shelves in the door you can remove the door. Using a small ladder or stool locate the hinge cover on the top left side of the refrigerator. Be careful not to drop or scratch the freezer door. Use a 3 8 inch nut driver to remove two of the three screws securing the hinge plate to the top of the refrigerator and loosen the third screw by a couple of turns. Use a nut driver to remove the one or two hex screws holding the refrigerator hinge to the top of the refrigerator body.
