If heavy objects have been moved in and out of the closet the metal track may have been damaged and not providing a smooth even guide for the wheel to roll along. Start by resetting the guide inside the track if it has come out then close the door and check the gap between the edge of the door and the track.
This is usually easy to fix. The easiest way to measure a bifold door for cutting is with the door slightly opened. If your closet door has one you need to remove it before you can put your door back on the track. If you have a sliding closet door that glides on a bottom track clean.
Use an aerosol lubricant to lubricate all the door rollers. On the opposite side a guide pin slides through a top channel. When a bi fold door leans the door may be difficult to open or close and the guide tends to slip out of the head track. Turn the bottom pivot height adjustment to lower it if possible.
For the easiest adjustment without taking the door out of its track take the weight off the door by shimming underneath it.
